Q.Do I need insurance?
We have full liability insurance; you are covered for fire, truck roll-over and accidents. If you would like added insurance we recommend using a independent licensed broker like www.removalsinsurance.com.au
Q. What if I don’t need my module or things from storage?
Simply contact us 7 days prior to the date you plan to vacate. If you need a specific item things can be delivered or collected from our depot.
Q. What happens if I cannot be at the property when my goods arrive?
That’s easy. Simply give us the keys and we will take care of the move for you. From start to finish.
Q. Is the quote worked out on an hourly basis or by cubic volume?
The most cost effective and efficient way to work on a local move is on an hourly basis; this is why we work on a hourly basis. The only time we use a cubic meter quote is when travelling interstate.
Q. When do I have to pay for the work done?
On the completion of your move, or at the end of each day completed for larger moves.
Q. Do I have to pay up front?
Only for boxes and extra packing equipment, but final payment is settled on the day of the job.
Q. Do I have to pay a deposit?
Yes, all customers pay a deposit of $200 to secure the booking. This fee is then deducted off the total amount which is to be settled on the day of your move.
Q. Can I pack my own boxes?
Yes, of course. And if you don’t want to pack your boxes we have a complete packing service available. Ask about this when you call our sales team.
Q. Can Ezemove help with self-storage too?
Yes, Ezemove can help with all of your storage needs. We have short-term and long-term storage options, and our portable module self-storage system makes the process easy and saves you time & money.
Q. Where do I buy my packing materials?
We have our own box shop. Call us to arrange all of your packing requirements, and if you order though us you get your first 10 boxes free of charge!
Q. I am moving from Sydney to Melbourne, can Ezemove help me?

Q. Can you pack my goods for me?
Yes, Ezemove offers a full pre-packing service. We can help you with as much or as little as you need.
Q. How do I prepare large appliances for a move?
Simply un-plug your items and tie up all cords neatly. If it’s a fridge make sure all food is cleaned out. Alternately we can prepare these items for you, just let our team know when booking.
Q. Can I move food?
Yes we can do this, as long as it is in sealed containers and packed carefully into boxes. We recommend using or disposing of perishables prior to your move day.
Q. How much notice do I need to give?
The more noticed the better for planning a stress-free move, and you are more likely to be guaranteed your desired day and time. If you book 4 weeks in advance you get a 10% discount off your total move!
Q. How long will my job take?
As every move is different it is hard for us to say. The more preparation you do before moving day the less time it will take on the actual day. Time also depends on access to your premises. Give us a call and we can give you a quote suited to your individual requirements.
Q. What happens if it doesn’t fit in one trip?
Then we will do a second trip.
Q. Can I help out with the move to save money?
Yes you can help out. However please understand that you help at your own risk.
Q. I am only moving 500 meters down the road; will this save on total cost?
In Australia most people move within 5 kms of their original premises. Whether you are moving 1 kms away or 100 kms away we still need to do the same amount of work packing and loading your items securely. The only thing you may save on is travelling time.
Q. Do you have all the equipment, or do I have to hire this at an additional cost?
Ezemove has all the correct removals equipment to get your job done safely. This is all included in our hourly rate.
Q. Is there a cancellation fee?
Yes. If you cancel your booking you will lose your $200 deposit.
Q. Why is an hourly rate more cost effective than a fixed price?
Ezemove believes you should only pay for what you use. If a company is charging you a fixed price for the total move then the cost will usually be higher to cover unknown factors like extra travelling time etc. Our team will work efficiently to get the job done in good time at a good price.
Q. Do you discount your rates?
We offer a 10% discount for early bird bookings; this is for customers who book 4 weeks in advance. We also offer discount self-storage rates for all of our customers. Call us today and we would be happy to help you the best as we can.
